A group of at least 15 capybaras was spotted marching in single file through a street in Brasília, Brazil's capital, on Thursday night. The unusual sight was captured on video by a resident and quickly went viral on social media.
"They always appear here. They come in groups of up to 50. But this is the first time I've seen them in a line," said Luciana Castello Branco, the resident who filmed the encounter. "They sat for a while, then continued. When the dog barked, they decided to leave."
The video has garnered significant attention online, amassing over 1.5 million likes and approximately 9 million views. One user commented, "How polite," while another remarked, "How beautiful, I fell in love."
